HDMI is a registered trademark of HDMI Licensing, LLC. The use of HDMI specification requires payment of copyright fees. Copyright fees are divided into annual membership fees and product sales fees.
Annual membership fee: Companies that use HDMI pay US$10,000 per year (the annual fee was US$15,000 before July 2006)
Product sales fee: products using HDMI specifications are charged 0.15 US dollars, if the product has the HDMI mark, you can enjoy a 0.05 US dollar discount, and if the product contains an HDCP protection agreement, you can enjoy a further 0.04 US dollar discount.
Product sales fees are calculated based on the final product. For example, an HDMI cable charges US$0.15, and a TV manufacturer only charges US$0.15 for bundling this cable with a TV that provides an HDMI port.
